Maybe, Justice will be done now; EFCC declares Maina wanted: Remember him? The infamous Abdulrasheed Maina of the pension fraud brouhaha has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations of mismanagement of funds meant for Nigerian pensioners in his time as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on pension matters. According to EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, the anti graft agency has already secured a warrant of arrest for Maina which will enable the commission to arrest him anywhere in the world. It remains to be seen whether Maina will now truly answer for his alleged sins and also face the befitting punishment.

That Kinda Thing; Buhari in 300 seconds meeting with Jonathan: E arlier today, former President, Goodluck Jonathan met for the second time since his May 29th handover with  President Muhammadu Buhari. The meeting which held at the new banquet hall of the Aso Rock Villa was said to have lasted for roughly 5 minutes. Well, it remains to be seen what sort of meeting that could have taken place in 300 seconds.

No Boko Haram Prisoners in Ebonyi State: The Ebonyi State Governor, Engineer Dave Umahi, Ekubaraoha has denied reports going round the state that Boko Haram prisoners relocated from Ekwulobia Prisons in Anambra State have been moved to Ebonyi Prisons. He made the statement while addressing journalists on some burning issues in the state. According to him, Prisons in the state were congested and as such,even if the Federal Government wanted to relocate the prisoners, there would be no space for such. He also warned rumour mongers to desist from spreading lies to the public, whils equally cautioning the public against accepting unconfirmed reports.  Speaking further, the Governor warned his Commissioners against engaging in Sharp Practices in their efforts towards generating revenue for the state.

Presidency replies Olisa Metuh; "we will always tell Nigerians the Truth": The Presidency has responded to criticisms from the PDP national publicity Secretary, Olisa  Metuh which seemed to suggest that the President was 'de-marketing' Nigeria. It would be recalled that in the President's latest visit to India, he announced that Nigeria was broke and this apparently did not go down well with the PDP image maker. Afenifere Leader, Fasoranti Resigns Leader of the Yoruba Pan Socio-Cultural group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti has resigned. In a letter addressed to the group's Secretary General, Fasoranti recounted his experiences as an Afenifere member from its inception till date. According to him, his age and the incontrovertible fact that the organization as it is constituted today, has eroded from the aims and objectives of its founders.   It would be recalled that the Afenifere played a tremendous role in the failed re election bid of former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

China abandons its controversial 'one-child a couple' policy. The Chinese Communist party on October, 29th finally abandoned its' controversial 'one-child' a couple policy that had been widely criticized for China's rapidly ageing population and plunging birth rate. However, the Party insists, unlike the Government of any other nation that it has the right to control people's fertility. The controversial policy which was introduced in 1979 has according to the Communist Party helped to prevent the birth of over 400 million persons.
