Tribunal Upholds Ikpeazu's Election:




After a rather contentious litigation process, the Abia State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has upheld the election of the Peoples Democtatic Party(PDP) candidate, Dr Okechukwu Ikpeazu in the April,11 Governorship election that was held in the state.
The Tribunal dismissed the petition brought before it by The Candidate of The All Progressives Grand Alliance, Dr Alex Otti for lacking merit.
The judgement will certainly not bring joy to numerous supporters of Otti who believed that their candidate was the rightful winner of the election.
However, it is expected that the petitioner will exhaust all options provided by the law in his quest to become Abia State Governor.

Apologies to Mr Peter Obi for using this catchy but thought provoking phrase that he used the very first time he contested for the Governorship of Anambra State. Apparently, that question he asked over ten years ago still hangs over not just his Anambra State but Nigeria as a whole. Yesterday, the President was at his witless and tactless worst. This time, not in Daura but in faraway Germany where in the company of perhaps, the most powerful woman in the world, he stated that his wife, Aisha belongs to "the kitchen and the other room" in response to a question from a journalist on his views about his wife's exclusive interview to The BBC Hausa Service where she implied that the Buhari administration had been hijacked by some anti progressive forces and that she might not campaign for her husband in the event that he decides to seek reelection in 2019.
