Akwa Ibom State APC holds mass rally to commemorate the death of Party members who were hacked down during the 2015 polls

Uyo, The Akwa Ibom State Capital was yesterday, virtually grounded as the All Progressives Congress, APC held a mother of all rallies to commemorate the death of Party Members who were hacked down during the 2015 General Elections.
It was also an opportunity for the Party's Governorship candidate, Umana O Umana to show off his popularity and acceptance.
Also, a number of high profile defectors from the PDP including Eseme Ruining were accepted into the party.

Apologies to Mr Peter Obi for using this catchy but thought provoking phrase that he used the very first time he contested for the Governorship of Anambra State. Apparently, that question he asked over ten years ago still hangs over not just his Anambra State but Nigeria as a whole. AHEAD OF SATURDAY: WHO DID WE OFFEND?

Recently, I saw an op-Ed o n Bloomberg which potrayed Nigeria's 2019 Presidential election as between a former dictator and an alleged kleptocrat. At first, I considered the insinuation offensive but deep down, I knew that was the perfect description of the two gladiators in this weekend's presidential polls; my grouse was actually with the fact that even foreigners know how bad our shit smells. While he was campaigning for the first time as the Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of Nigeria's main opposition party in Saturday's poll kept asking if Anambra was cursed or if Anambra people were the cause.
