TEN MEN WHO MADE 2015 MEMORABLE: Before anything is said, let me quickly add that 'men' in this sense goes beyond the masculine gender; it includes women, and even institutions. Now, to the real deal; This list is just my own little way of paying respect to men and women whose overall contribution to Nation Building, particularly in the year, 2015 can at best be described as invaluable and tremendous. As always, this is subjective. 10. Ben Bruce: Love him or hate him, this light skinned Senator was pivotal in making the year worthwhile. His twitter outbursts, whichever way you look at it were truly patriotic and nationalistic, and to a large extent, his comments actually showed a middle ground. Mr Ben Bruce has so far displayed a high level degree of independence in his opinions, and it's highly commendable even though some grey areas still exist as regards his perception and reputation. 9. Dave Umahi: My Governor, Our Leader! What m

That Friend Zone Ish..... "I like you as a friend"  "You are like a brother to me"  "You are more than a friend to me" If you've ever been told any of this by a female, Brother, you are in the difficult Friend Zone. And I'm certain that she concluded by saying, "we should just remain friends"..... It's sad...really really sad. And it's much sadder if you accept to remain in this bottle she has kept you; if you accept to remain in that shit hole by yourself; if you refuse to see the value in you. When you are in that zone, you are not better than a slave! Yes, a Slave! You are the one who gives her tips on how to relate with the main guy; you accept to be a shoulder she can cry on; I'm sorry but you are a goat too.... How can you consciously choose to be foolish; like, you don't even gain anything, rather you are the one who gives everything like say you be Jesus Christ.  Really, the thing

BUHARI IS SPENDING MONEY LIKE A DRUNKEN SAILOR: Former Minister of Aviation, famous talkative and National Parrot, Femi Fani- Kayode has described the 2016 budget of President Muhammadu Buhari as being insincere, expensive and over-bloated. Fani-Kayode said the present administration is spending money like a druken sailor, with little regard for the mountain of debt being incurred. He said the issue of fuel subsidy would have been settled, had the All Progressives Congress not opposed former President Goodluck Jonathan, when he attempted to remove it. In a statement released on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode said the Buhari administration was borrowing like there’s no tomorrow and mortgaging the future of the youth. “The 2016 budget is fueled by insincerity, shrouded in fantasy, built on tall dreams and spawned by deceit, ignorance and the illusion of change. It is bloated, unrealistic, expensive, cosmetic and it will not result in anything good. “In order to fund part of th

I won't pressure Myself, Ighalo Red hot Watford forward Odion Ighalo is refusing to set a goal target for himself this season. The Super Eagles striker has already scored 12 Premier League goals in 17 appearances, including a brace in the Hornets’ 3-0 humiliation of Liverpool at Vicarage Road on Sunday. Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy currently tops the Premier League scoring charts with 15 goals. The 28-year-old Englishman’s Blue Army’s Algerian teammate Riyad Mahrez and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku have struck 13 times each to occupy the second and third place respectively. Ighalo is fourth on the log followed by Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud in the fifth place. Former Italy and Spain-based Ighalo, who has hit the back of the net twice for Nigeria this year, has been earning rave reviews from the British media for embarrassing highly rated Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho with his trademark ‘chop’ move on Sunday. “The fans are crazy about something like that,” the 26-ye

RELEASE OF MAN CONVICTED OF DELHI GANG RAPE SPARKS PROTESTS IN INDIA The youngest convict in a fatal gang-rape in New Delhi has been released from a youth correctional facility, sparking street protests and condemnation from the victim’s parents. The rape and murder of 23-year-old student Jyoti Singh  on a bus in Delhi in 2012 caused global outrage and triggered reform of legislation relating to sexual offences. Her family allowed her to be named in an attempt to end the stigma facing sex attack victims in India. The freed man, who was 17 at the time of the crime and cannot be named, was sentenced to three years in a reform facility in August 2013 and finished his term this weekend. Under Indian law, regardless of the crime, under-18s can be imprisoned for a maximum of three years. On Friday Delhi’s high court rejected a petition to extend the sentence, saying that the man had served the maximum under the law. Several activists and politicians demanded that he no

TOP TEN SONGS OF 2015 I ts that time of the year when we look at the whole year and analyze what really rocked our boats... This time around, the write up is on the songs that made us dance and reflect....and before anything is said, the list is highly subjective and indicative of my own personal views and preferences which of course, I intend to sell to thee..... 10.Right now remix ft Seyi Shay, Banky W and Iyanya: If for nothing, the song made us realize the genius in Shay, and also made us realize that Iyanya could be an excellent singer when he wishes to... 9. Jagaban by Ycee: "They tried to feed me beef but I told them wait for Ramadan" How else can one describe this dude's meteoric rise? 2015 was certainly the year for this young star as within a twinkle of an eye, just a song catapulted him to musical relevance.  8.Connect by Phyno: This was by all standards, the best song coming out of Eastern Nigeria this year.....

EVERYONE WAS GOING TO OBTAIN UNDER JONATHAN; SAGAY.                                                                                      photo credit:deltans.com                                                                      Legal luminary and Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), says former President Goodluck Jonathan condoned massive pilfering and unrestricted corruption during his administration. Sagay advised the former President to ‘have a chat’ with the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and ‘say all he knows’ about the $2bn arms funds diversion scandal. In an interview with  Punch Newspapers,  the lawyer said Jonathan would be allowed to go quietly into retirement if he provides the federal government with helpful information about the looting of the nation’s coffers under his watch. “To start with, the great reputation he (Jonathan) seems to have is the fact that he admitted defeat. There are thousands of ac

BUHARI PRESENTS 2016 BUDGET TO NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. A few minutes ago, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2016 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly. This budget presentation is by all standards a rare fit as far as the history of Budget presentation in the country is concerned considering that for the very first time in so many years, the President made the presentation in record time. According to the President, there is a 223% increase in capital expenditure. Also, there is a greater focus on Education, Agriculture, Interior and Unemployment. It is expected that as soon as the Legislature returns from recess, the Budget will be considered.

EVEN THE WHITE WITCHES ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA SUPPORT PMB'S ANTI GRAFT WAR...LMAO Believe it or not, there is an association of witches in Nigeria. And no, its nothing like Nollywood paints it to be- witches dabble into politics and matters of state too! The White Witches Association of Nigeria has pledged support for the Buhari led administration in its fight against corruption. In a statement released by Dr. Okhue Iboi, the spokesperson of the association in Lagos, “As stakeholders in the project called Nigeria, we can’t fold our arms and pretend that all is well with our nation. It will not only amount to act of unpatriotism if we decide to look the other way while others are speaking out on way forward for Nigeria.” The decision by the witches to support Buhari’s anti-graft war was made at an emergency gathering of the association that took place in Ofosu, Edo state. “Following our worries over Nigeria, the general assembly of witches decided to hold this mee

HERE'S FOR THE NAYSAYERS; THOSE WHO TALK WITHOUT PROOF; THOSE WHO ASSERT WITHOUT CONFIRMATION; SAGAY DENIES GRANTING PHANTOM INTERVIEW TO NIGERIAN TRIBUNE..... Itse Sagay, a legal scholar, has denied ever granting an interview to the Nigerian Tribune to deride President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption efforts. Speaking with a correspondent of SaharaReporters by telephone from Lagos, Mr. Sagay, a professor of law, well known constitutional lawyer and head of President Buhari’s advisory committee on anti-corruption, said he was shocked to read a report concocted by the newspaper, crediting him with sharp criticism of the current administration’s anti-corruption strategy. According to him, the newspaper’s report on his purported interview represented a desperate attempt to discredit President Buhari’s anti-corruption war.    Mr. Sagay told our correspondent that he had stopped granting interviews to the Tribune after the paper’s editors had twisted an interview he granted th
